Expats come to Costa Rica with big dreams of living in "paradise" and "get rich quick" ideas, but in reality they will face a series of problems getting settled and living in a 3rd world country and it is better to have help and advice up front than to try to do it yourself and have it all go wrong and end up in a huge mess.
